Meet the coaching team

We work with a field of coaches across both Tennis & Football coaching.
Read more about them below.

Ben Yeomans | Head Coach

I started coaching at the age of 18. I was thrown into the industry in a company that provided sports coaching to primary schools.

I loved what I did, but this didn’t allow me to fulfil my ambitions. At 19, I stumbled across Over&In, a tennis coaching company that’s main objective was to “make a difference” to the lowest level of the game by introducing high-quality coaching to village clubs. This mirrored my own philosophy towards how I believed football should be taught across the nation and so seized at the opportunity to expand the company into football. There are a lot of children that are naturally talented at football, and because of this, they are lucky enough to be offered high-quality coaching in academy set-ups, if they can afford it. But for the average child, whether they love football or not, are talented or not they do not necessarily have access to high quality training, so it can be challenging for them to reach their full potential.

By implementing high quality coaching sessions, with high quality staff to be good role models at the lowest level of the game, we are providing an opportunity for every child to fulfil their potential and learn good sporting attitudes, whether they have shown signs of talent or not.

Jake Shepherd

I have been part of the company since 2012 and am one of the longest serving and experienced coaches in the company. I am enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated  to my job. My sessions are fun, enjoyable and I strive to achieve brilliant results. I am currently a level 2 coach and am working towards my UEFA B qualification.

I absolutely love coaching and will deliver this with style and detailed information.

I am currently working with a lot of teams in Cambridgeshire including Shelford and Stapleford, Trumpington FC, Comberton Crusaders and Over&In Academy.

The company is now working with over 40+ teams and is consistently growing. My favourite football team is Arsenal. My all time favourite is Thierry Henry and my current favourite player is Lacazette.

Liam Moir

I am the newest member of the team. Football is my biggest passion and has been since I was 4 years old. When I was younger I had the opportunity to be coached by some brilliant coaches so it’s important to me that every child gets that same opportunity.

I am currently a level 2 football coach but have big aspirations of achieving my UEFA B Licence and going to do all my coaching badges.

I try my hardest to make sure all my sessions are fun and enjoyable, to give every player the best environment to learn and get better.

My favourite football team is Arsenal and my favourite player of all time is Jack Wilshere.

James Holder

I am one of the youngest members of the Over & In Football coaching group, starting my coaching journey at just 18. I’ve spent the last few years learning the high standards of tactical, technical and behaviour management skills required to help your child excel under the Over & In Football umbrella.

My passionate, dedicated and energetic coaching style is always at the forefront of my sessions, encouraging a friendly and fun atmosphere for all.

My coaching portfolio ranges from KS1 development all the way through to adults. With a plethora of positive feedback and reviews. So much so, that in 2022 I was nominated for FA grassroots coach of the year!

My favourite team is Liverpool, and my favourite player growing up was Steven Gerrard for his charismatic and leadership qualities which were a big factor in me wanting to dedicate my career to coaching football.
