We run before, lunchtime and after school clubs across many primary schools.
Sessions are 45mins to an hour long and coaches come ready with all the necessary equipment so the children do not have to take extra things to school.
We have portable nets to create a tennis environment in any space whether it’s the playground or hall. Suitable for all year groups our out of schools coaching is an excellent introduction to the game and a great way for children to learn the sport with the convenience of the coaching being taken to them.
Each teacher in a school is entitled to a minimum of 2 hours of PPA time per week. PPA stands for Planning, preparation and assessments. This time gives teachers the chance to plan future projects, prepare for upcoming events or even take a step back and assess the children within the class.
We offer our specialist PE time to fill that space rather than schools working with supply teachers which means the children are regularly more active each week. Where a supply teacher is expensive, we provide an alternative in external sports coaching.
We send an experienced coach into your school to provide cover for your teachers whilst they are in PPA, taking full responsibility of the class and providing the children with effective knowledge and practice of curriculum P.E. Please get in touch if your school would like to discuss PPA with us.
We provide PE support to both primary and secondary schools and have done so for over 15 years. From key stage one year 11 GCSE tennis we can bring in that little extra quality by using our skilled coaches.
Not only can we offer more specific tennis coaching to the pupils we also enjoy working with the school teachers to help them develop their knowledge for delivering tennis within the school.
Active8 is an initiative set up to get children aged 8 and over who do not participate in regular activity, ACTIVE!
It’s delivered in schools to groups of children with similar needs. It is currently funded by the Cambridgeshire Schools Sports Partnership (CSSP) and we have help deliver this to over 100 pupils in the county so far. For more information contact the CSSP directly.
